    when he rules in the fear of God,

⁵ “If my house were not right with God,
    surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant,
    arranged and secured in every part;

⁶ But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns,

Happy Monday! I am motivated by today’s reading.

When I think of leading a team for God, my mind and motivation go to another level. When I don’t, I resort to Earthly ways: I address difficulties in my limited knowledge, the goals seem unreachable, there seem to be problems everywhere, and my stress levels are high.

I love David’s analogy: when one rules in fear of God, he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.

I also like that David emphasizes that one should rule over people in righteousness. Too many leaders today abuse their power; they abuse their resources, manipulate, and control the narrative. They rely on pure authority to get their team to do the work. David, instead, promotes righteousness and getting your house in order.

To my dear readers, let us all dedicate our leadership to God. Let’s lead our team in righteousness, let’s get our houses in order, let’s lead in fear of God.
